Winchester
Since I have been assigned the project to design a house in
Winchester, I was initially searching for information of Winchester from many
websites and some books. I looked at information that may be used for my design
project such as history, topography, weather, architectures, and etc.
Winchester lies in the valley of the Itchen and surrounded
by chalk down-land. Once, Winchester was a capital of England in the Saxon
period. There are medieval and Georgian architectures
laid out according to the original Saxon street plan where can be seen from the
top of St. Giles hill.
